Address Capture

In addition to enabling merchants to securely collect credit card info, Pagato also provides a simple way for merchants to capture shipping/delivery info from their customers. If you have questions after reading this, please send us an email.


Pagato supports two modes of address capture:

  1. Remote capture - Request address info by sending the customer a link to an address-capture form.
  2. Local capture - Add address information to the customer record directly in Pagato.

Once an address has been stored, you can assign the address to an order for that customer.


Remote Capture

Each customer record in Pagato has a unique link that renders a simple address-capture form for that user. To send an address-capture link to a customer, follow these steps:

  1. From Chat POS, select the customer for which you wish to capture an address.
  2. Click on the button for that customer.
  3. In the resulting Addresses dialog, copy the address-capture link and paste it into your messaging app – or use Pagato to send it to the customer directly via text message.

Upon clicking the address link, the customer is prompted to submit their address information:

After a customer saves an address, the merchant is notified by email and push notification.


Local Capture

To add address information to the customer record directly in Pagato:

  1. From Chat POS, select the customer for which you wish to capture an address.
  2. Click on the button for that customer.
  3. In the resulting New Address dialog, click to add an address.
  4. Begin typing address and select from autocomplete options.
  5. Click Save.

To assign a delivery address to an order, first click the Delivery button, then select the address from the drop-down menu.
